Jan 2010: Leigh-on-Sea, Essex: First for FTN Steel Pin Project
Aspin Foundations successfully installed a 9m x 610mm diameter Aspin Steel Pin foundation at Leigh-on-Sea in Essex. This was then utilised to erect a 20m GSM-R mast for Network Rail’s Train Driver to Signaller Radio communication. This is the first time the patented Aspin Steel Pin has been used on the Fixed Telephone Network Project. The Aspin Steel Pin foundation was installed during a midweek day shift (approximately 6 hours on site), which then allowed the principle contractor to prepare the civil works in preparation for the erection of the mast. A successful and timely implementation. |
