Dec 2009: Building on Success

Following the success of the Erewash re-signalling project Aspin Consulting has been awarded further designs for Phase 2B of the scheme. Working closely with Aspin Foundations, Consulting have delivered the foundation design for a further six gantries and 24 signal posts, responding with flexibility within a fluid programme. Aspin Consulting has continued to provide both pre-design and post-design support, assisting the Aspin Site Investigation team, and providing Form C packages for crane-lifted gantry installations, which have been undertaken by Aspin Foundations.

The previous phase of works included the installation of a 35m single-span gantry utilising a 500 tonne mobile crane. This is currently one of the longest gantries in the country.
