ASPIN PLANT: RAIL

Aspin® is able to provide a specialist service through combining our knowledge of all aspects of railway works requirements.  Aspin® is certified to work directly on the Network Rail Infrastructure under our Plant Operators Licence (Safety Case.)

Aspin Plant has the ability to draw on our expertise in Consulting and Foundations to provide a complete service for our clients.  Our expertise can be applied at the initial stage within the design of the programme or project through to delivery, installation and completion.  We offer a complete service providing innovative and fit for purpose solutions.

We operate equipment for all types of railway work.  Our service offering includes:

• OLE works
• Signalling projects
• Trough laying
• Cabling projects
• Piling and foundation works
• Platform extensions

An illustration of some of our capabilities that we are able to offer our clients is detailed below:

• A number of our access machines are cleared under RIS1530 to carry mewps man baskets rated for two or three people with weights of 225kg to 300kg respectively. These are large baskets, 1.4 metre square, with a tool carrier designed to enable electrical mechanics to carry out difficult and complicated tasks.
• We supply braked drum carriers designed to lock on to our trailers. These allow us to either run wire or to pull out cable. We can load drums up to 6 tons in weight on to our carriers with a maximum width and diameter of two metres.
• Our rail trailers are supplied in multiple sizes. These are 4 metres and 5 metres long with capacities of 16 tons or 20 tons respectively. The trailers are all supplied with container locks to make it quick and easy to change attachments and usages. We have available large ballast boxes and other attachments designed to operate with these trailers.
• Our machines are capable of installing a wide range of foundations and superstructures.
