We are committed to balancing corporate responsibility and economic sustainability alongside our social and environmental responsibilities in line with the vision:
‘To act responsibly for the long term in how we undertake our business’
We recognise that our activities have an impact on the environment, our people, the communities in which we operate, our clients and supply chain, and the broader society. We are committed to providing an inclusive working environment where all employees are treated with courtesy, dignity and respect and where everyone feels valued.
We consider our role in the local community to be an integral part of our business and we are proud of the community in which we both live and work. We actively seek to:
- employ local people and utilise local subcontractors and suppliers
- increase our involvement with local business and professional forums
- engage as a company with local charities and events
- build and develop relationships with local educational establishments and communities by involvement with community initiatives and schemes
Sustainability is embedded within our approach to business and a continuous improvement in waste management and consumption of materials practices is critical. We will continue to develop our approach in reusing materials and promoting recycling and the use of recycled materials.
We are taking steps to monitor our carbon footprint by reviewing the measurement of Carbon Dioxide emissions that are easily quantified including electricity usage in our office and on sites, fuel usage and the methods of transport we operate and use.
