To celebrate International Women’s Day, Aspin Ltd will be participating in an event called Inspiring Girls, near our head offices in Hemel Hempstead. Our Head of Human Resources, Alice Bromwich, will talk at the event designed to inspire young women to consider their careers and learn from women in industry. Alice has been working with Aspin for over 5 years in a predominately male dominated industry and established and leads the HR and Training function for the Group.
Inspiring Girls has run similar events in the past and have found the format of professional women meeting and talking to small groups of girls to be massively beneficial to the attendees. The purpose of this event is to ensure that the students get to hear about a range of careers, educational backgrounds and the career challenges that they may face.
Aspin Ltd, Head of HR, Alice Bromwich states, “Supporting young women is extremely important to me. It is my purpose at this event to illustrate the construction industry as a welcoming and positive career choice for women. I am passionate about HR, but more importantly about equality and encouraging young females to explore as many opportunities in life that they can. There are many roles in construction which may be deemed more male orientated and it would be great to inspire a future Engineer or Quantity Surveyor.”
