Embankment Stabilisation project in Norwich

As part of the strategic Earthworks improvement scheme in East Anglia, Aspin were awarded multiple projects over a wide range of disciplines including, drainage, earthworks, embankment stabilisation, bridge scour protection and piling.

The largest of these projects was a ground anchoring project south of Norwich. Aspin were able to deliver a high quality project within a short time span, with up to 35 IRATA trained rope access staff working on installing mesh and 2322 ground anchors on the Markshall Farm Road curve over a 1200m of embankment. This was all delivered on time, safely whilst trains remained operational and with no accidents or incidents to report.

With delivery of such a large project Aspin benefitted from a supply chain that understood our requirements, working collaboratively with Platipus Anchors the teams were able to ensure that the correct technical approach was deployed effectively.

This project was an excellent example of how Aspin provide a wide range of solutions for today's railway, along with building effective client and supplier relationships that can be called upon again.

Our client and the teams involved are extremely pleased with the project delivery and results of this project and the wider schemes.
