Aspin has been shortlisted as a finalist at this year’s TechFest, a showcase of the biggest and best innovations in engineering, organised by the respected journal, New Civil Engineer.
Taking place in London on 19 September 2018, Aspin is shortlisted in the ‘Best Use of Technology – Health, Safety and Wellbeing’ category for the safety and efficiencies provided by the Land Rover R2R SIV, developed in partnership with Aquarius Rail.
It’s one of the categories selected for live judging at the event and Lee Healey, Technical Services Director is presenting Aspin’s entry. To receive a shortlisting is an achievement as competition is fierce. Other leading industry players are also bidding for the top spot including Amey, Bam Nuttall, Costain, Galliford Try and Jacobs. The winner will be announced at the event dinner which takes place in the evening.
According to the organisers, TechFest is an immersive show that is responding to the civil engineering industry’s need to support and encourage innovation and stimulate the brightest minds in civil engineering.
Event features include a programme of keynote industry speakers, insights into the latest technologies, fringe cafes, awards and graduate challenges with an awards dinner to round off the day. Plus it’s an opportunity to network with industry leaders and influencers in the transport, water, energy and built environment sectors.
